Pam Garrison - President

A Madison County native, proud mom of two children and grandmother of 5, has spent 25 years making local radio listeners on 99.7 WCYK and 94.1 the oasis laugh, cry, and possibly question her music taste. Pam has volunteered on numerous charitable boards, committees and community events, because who needs sleep, and serves as an active board member of the Albemarle Sheriff’s Foundation. As an alumni of the Virginia Association of Broadcasters’ Best of the Best program, Pam was honored as Mentor, because who better to guide fellow broadcasters than someone who’s been around 25 years.  As a voting member of the Country Music Association, Pam stays connected to the evolving world of country music. In 2024, Pam was humbled to receive the title of Favorite Radio Personality in the Best of Cville awards, a testament to her dedication, impact, and ability to bribe people with free concert tickets. She also serves as a judge for the Colorado and West Virginia state association annual tv and radio awards.    Over her career, Pam has also been voted onto the media honor roll program by the Virginia School Board Association for her dedication to helping schools in our community.   Above all, Pam is proud to be a child of God, mom, and grandmother and to be with the love of her life ,Her Husband the “Silverfox “ Tom Pierce and dog Izzie, to continue to inspire others with her love, kindness, generosity, and her collection of cowboy boots.    

Darin Garrison -Treasurer - A true local, born and raised in Charlottesville and now a proud resident of our county. With a distinguished career in the financial industry, Darin served as an Assistant Vice President at Wells Fargo for 15 years before joining the University of Virginia Community Credit Union. Over the past 22 years with the credit union, he has held leadership roles at multiple branches throughout the community and, in recent years, transitioned to the operational side of the organization, where he continues to contribute to its growth and member-focused mission. Beyond his professional achievements, Darin has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to community service. He has volunteered with numerous nonprofit organizations and charitable initiatives, serving on several boards including Blue Ridge House of Region 10 and the local United Way. His volunteer work also includes supporting after-school reading programs, participating in the United Way Day of Caring, and contributing to many annual community events. Darin finds great fulfillment in seeing the tangible impact of his efforts on the lives of others. His dedication to service reflects his belief in the importance of giving back to the community that has given him so much. Although he has a deep love of travel and exploration, his heart and roots remain firmly in Albemarle County and the surrounding area—a place he proudly calls home.

Angus Arrington - Past President - Angus Arrington is a native son of Charlottesville and has contributed to the community and his country all his life. He studied Business at West Virginia University before joining the United States Marine Corp, where he served in the first Gulf War. He has been active in Real Estate since 2001 and received his license in 2008, when he became a busy local realtor and builder in the community and remains active in his local church. He is also active in the American Legion, past President of the Albemarle Sheriff’s Office Foundation, and a member of the FALCONS club and part of the Banquet Committee. Angus is an avid traveler, loyal UVA fan and a die-hard Atlanta Braves and Dallas Cowboys fan. He also owns Champion Show Dogs. He can be found exploring the local wineries or taking time to fish.

Nancy Hicks - Nancy was born and raised in Southern Albemarle County surrounded by her family. She went to Katherine Gibbs School of Business in Vienna, VA but soon realized after graduation that Southern Albemarle is where she wanted to be. Nancy worked in corporate America for two large corporations over her a 28-year stent but in 2016 decided to leave corporate America to pursue a different career which landed her at Monticello Media, a five-station radio and digital group in Charlottesville. Nancy is currently the Director of Local Sales. Nancy is active in her community and loves being surrounded by her family and friends. Nancy and her husband, Robbie, also a longtime Charlottesville area resident, went to rival local high schools and are deep rooted in the community. They have two sons (Ryan and Sam) and two four legged children (Pepper and Pinto). They currently reside on family land in Southern Albemarle.

Tripp Stewart - Raised on a horse farm in mid-state New York, Dr. Tripp Stewart attended Princeton University, where he was on the Varsity Fencing team and Rugby Team. Graduating with a degree in psychology (specializing in neuroscience), he pursued his veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania. He moved to Charlottesville in 2008 with his wife and 2 daughters. He was the prior owner and founder of Greenbrier Emergency Animal Hospital and is now a consultant for the clinic. Dr. Stewart has always been a supporter of first responders and has worked closely with police, fire and EMT in helping with animals caught in unfortunate situations.
